Hi,
Attached is a patch that adds horizontal and vertical flip commands to the
viewer along with some fixes to the corresponding player commands.
It should now be easy to create sketches with mirror symmetry.

#3344: BookMorph should not move when you click a page.

Before 1571QuickGuide1-yo, you can move a BookMorph only when you touch on
the
control bar. But now it doesn't move (when "regist being picked up"
on) or moves on everywhere (when "regist being picked up" off). It is
not intended behavior.

OLPC bug tracking system
Hi, bert.
While I am still working on stabilizing runtime-translation stuff to
make smooth to integrate add-on applications with base Etoys,
I hit fundamental question: how to distribute and install addon
application with translation.
We need to do following that seem difficult on OLPC if I understand
correctly:
- EToys use installed MOs for translation, so additional MOs for
the apps need to be installed onto file system.
- Additional domains/MOs need to be registered by API call, and
that registration is stored in image in current implementation.
We have had great apps for Squeak, but..
- the last version of DrGeoII is packaged as SAR. It is possible
to execute almost anything in preamble, but MOs installation
seems impossible in Rainbow-enabled environment.
- the last version of BotInc is packaged as project. How to package
MOs in tt?
- For both case, can domain registration be stored in Journal and
restored ? it is easy for squeakland-OLPC user to save image...
So only way to provide translation for apps is that preload apps and
rename image and package them as RPM. I would like to hear your thought.
(I understand we have similar issue with additional font...)

Hello,
I saw Kim said about Squeakpolis.
I have just uploaded this:
http://squeak.educarex.es/Squeakpolis/uploads/48/EducarexOriginal.changes.z…http://squeak.educarex.es/Squeakpolis/uploads/48/EducarexOriginal.image.zip
very similar, it could be useful.
And that is (tak 12/26/2004 12:10 · private):

Looks good.

I wonder if "quality management" actually works because we don't understand
all language. But it is worth to try.

I think the simplest way is to use Pootle's file structure. But I would write
a shell script to adapt file names at first. I doubt if we will
change the translation scheme in near future again ;) I'll test whole thing
after my current task, maybe this weekend.

We are going to hold a "mini" OLPC Game Jam on Saturday, December 15th.
It will be a mini-game jam because it will only be a one day event, not
three. It will focus on developing games using Squeak.
Each participant will have her own computer. For this event we want each
person to learn how to use Squeak, whether she is a programmer, teacher
or artist.
We hope to build up to a full-fledged game jam within several months,
complete w/ organized teams, prizes, and media coverage.
Any ideas anyone has for the event would be great
http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Game_Jam_Kathmandu_December_2007
Serendipitously, Bert Freudenberg will be here for the event. He will be
in Kathmandu helping us speed up activity development w/ Squeak and
better integrate our activities w/ the XO.

Hello Spanish speaking Etoys developers,
It appears that some methods with latin1 characters got messed up
over the years (possibly when going through Monticello, for some
instances). Most of them I can fix, but there is one method I'd like
to get some suggestions from Spanish speaking people.
Please take a look at
LanguageEditor>>checkSpanishPhrase:translation:. Can anybody edit the
method to make it look ok? Seemingly it was trying to warn the
LanguageEditor user when a phrase doesn't have a matching ? and
inverted ?, or ! and inverted !.
As you see, it is in a comment and not used (and will not be used)
anymore so there is no real reason to fix it, but I thought it is nice
anyway.
Thank you!

P.S.
I looked at a Smallland image based on 3.8, but I don't have the
.changes for the image. So I cannot see comments...
P.P.S.
Now small-land.org seems to be grabbed. What is the best place now?
