Bert,
ALSA diffs and camera support (renamed to VideoForLinuxPlugin) is committed. Please check that video and sound works in your image with these sources. Thanks!
Cheers, Ian

Great! I'll build a VM and upload RPMs to tinlizzie. Once Yoshiki confirmes the RPMs work as intended on the B-machine, I'll copy them over to the public laptop.org repository so they will be available for "yum update etoys" and also get picked up in the next system build. Yay!

Ian,
ALSA is fine now. But it looks like you did not check in the generated sources for the video plugin ...

Hi Bert,
it looks like you did not check in the generated sources for the video plugin ...
Well, I did include VideoForLinuxPlugin.c which looks like it's generated from image-side code in Video4Squeak.cs. When I load the latter into an image and open VMMaker there is no V4LPlugin listed, so I guess the one in the tarball (presumably translated manually by Diego) is the one I was expected to use.
Other than that ...

... I don't understand what you think is missing?
Cheers, Ian

Sorry, my fault it seems. I built the VM and checked the resulting modules, and it wasn't there. So I assumed there was something missing, and the generated source was not in src/ where it would belong, so I suspected that was the problem.
Checking again it looks like he V4L plugin was disabled by configure. The log says ...
