Hi Yoshiki, Bert and the rest of the gang
'Looking at 3.9 I noticed evaluating 'Smalltalk copyright' still claims squeak for Apple and Xerox.
I got curious and looked at Etoys 3.0 then 4.0. Sure enough the notice is still there.
It was harder to demonstrate in the non-dev etoys image. but you can get a Text from supply. Get a script for setting text. Make it textual and change the argument for setCharacters: .

Ah, that is interesting. I now wonder what it should say, *if* it stays. We are not interested in maintaining the whole list of copyright holders, nor include the license terms text in the image.
I'd rather remove it. But what do you think?
Thank you!

I'd rather amend it with something generic - "VPRI and individual contributors" or so. Copyright is different from licensing, it still applies and belongs to each contributor.
Btw there is also Utilities>>copyrightNotice

Well, as for copyright holders, we cannot remove Apple for example, and Xerox may hold the copyright, which Apple has the license to distribute under their terms, perhaps (IANAL).
So, not use our brain cells for these is the wise thing, IMHO.

Right. I meant "append" not "replace".
