Hi all,
As I continue to explore squeak/etoys in a
new
enviornment ( Ubuntu 8.04) I
keep come upon surprises.
This is the latest. There is a bug report on
Jira.
Though I don't think it
got filed under the etoys catagory.
This seems like a problem with the embedding
script.
It doesn't matter whether I have exited
etoys
or it is still running.
When I close the tab the browser abruptly
quits.
Jerome,
I assume browser=firefox? What version?
Same problem here, ubuntu 8.04 with firefox 3.0.*, at
the
moment 3.0.8
Yep. same one.
copied from about box: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.8) Gecko/2009032711 Ubuntu/8.04 (hardy) Firefox/3.0.8
Is there someway to modify the embedding phase that avoids the shutdown? Way easier that getting everybody to upgrade pass the difficulty. My suspicion is this can be a problem in other browsers too.
