While testing the sound deactivation code I came up with the attached project - nice and simple. If we could hook this up to CSound's synth we had something a lot like TamTam ;)
Maybe mapping the distance from center to pitch would be even nicer than it is now (mapping from size).

That is fun!
eToys will be great and flexible way to make such interactive sound project. Now, I'm looking into an issue of high latency of Squeak ALSA driver. I have found the cause of the problem, but even if I could fix it, current Squeak's sound player framework itself remains 120ms delay in worst case. It's enough for game, but insufficiency for music. If CSound solves the issue easily, that's really valuable.
