As I wrote previously a recent fix allows to view FTP server to load project (not tested but can see the ftp contents).
Now to write to the FTP server code need to be changed aswell
For example changing ServerDirecotry>>isProjectSwiki to return true
Otherwise it make the FTP server not visible in the Save project dialog.
However, not sure it is the acceptable way to change it.
Is swiki code still relevant?

Hilaire, We do support FTP. That code is very ancient. Can you find another part of Squeak that does speak to your server. How about a standard FileList looking at a known FTP server?

I figure out it is possible to add FTP server from the small icon in the Load project dialog of Etoys.
It is asked to fill and execute the code below. Next when I add my own FTP server, I got an "unknow error" or a "TelnetProtocolError: 501 Invalid number of arguments"

For the last question, the answer is yes. Changing ServerDirectory>>isProjectSwiki, if I remember correctly, makes other other unneeded entries show up in the list, but otherwise it shouldn't be really harmful.
To have your own repository for your internal use, intalling SuperSwiki2 and clients with knownServer settings may be good.

(After having some conversation with Hilaire...), the following is not also suitable for Hilaire's requirements, but for other use cases, it is worth to mention that Tim has a plan (or even an implementation?) of private groups on the squeakland.org server. Once it is getting going, asking him to set up a group may be good.

Groups are implemented, but have been turned off because of a few bugs....
When these are closed, groups are a go:
http://tracker.squeakland.org/browse/SQ-490 (groups bug)
http://tracker.squeakland.org/browse/SQ-366 (allows anyone to add their own group)
http://tracker.squeakland.org/browse/SQ-407 (virtualizing groups ... solves 490, btw)
Btw, the best way to motivate me towards a particular feature is to say, "I want to do this now, here are the details." To date, no one has asked for groups.
And yes, groups can be private ... allowing those in the same class to see each others projects without the world seeing them.
That's how the i18n work got done :)
