Squeak se ha usado ya mucho tiempo en España, en particular en Extremadura. Inclusive hicieron un DVD que se usa internacionalmente para promocionar Squeak. Estoy seguro que los peninsulares tienen material que podrías tu adaptar. Por ahora el mayor problema que yo veo es de completar la traducción de eToys. Caramba, los españoles ya han debido traducirlo, bastaría que alguien ponga las dos cosas juntas. ¿Te animas a perseguir la idea y ver adonde llega? es decir, ver si Extremadura ya tiene traducción completa, y ver si podemos adaptarla de una vez. ¿Te has anotado a la lista eToys? http://lists.laptop.org/listinfo/etoys las herramientas de traducción están en Pootle. [Etoys] Variables holding onto instance copies

I made a project that placed a copy of a sketch in a random spot in a playfield. I noticed the project size would keep on growing between saves and did not understand why. Attached is a simplified version that demonstrates the behavior. Click 'summary of scripts' Run skript1 for a while and then script3. Click 'summary of scripts' again and notice the instances keep piling up. I found out after a while that if I used a variable defined for the playfield instead of a variable defined for the star , the instances would be trashed more frequently, or at least cleaned up at project save. Hi, v-toys for OLPC are available at: http://community.ofset.org/index.php/V-toys_international You'll find some documentation and tutorials on the same page. V-toys is a visual scripting system compatible with Etoys. Easier for beginners and international in the sense that tiles are identified by icons instead of text. It was presented at the c5 conference in Poitiers http://uptv.univ-poitiers.fr/web/canal/61/theme/54/manif/168/index.html Help balloons in English will help using the tiles and explain what kind of parameter is needed. I am translating now 'Etiquettes actives' (active labels) which is an easier way for programming to very beginners. You can see and download the french version at: http://community.ofset.org/index.php/Etiquettes_actives. Watch the list: Other projects are coming: Examples of Projects mixing DRGeo and E-toys. An Expert system (forward chaining.) Written in Smalltalk, it is working but I have to build the interface for the use with v-toys. It is already working in a project for driving a tic tac toe game and in a project making deductions about figures of DrGeo. Best regards

TileMorphs sometimes initialize to wrong height, mostly to low. This is a fix to that problem.

I read this page about random numbers yesterday and thought it would be fun to do something similar in etoy. http://www.boallen.com/random-numbers.html It turns out the random number generator have some issues and make big regions of same predictions, so don't base your next encryption software on etoys ;-) Oh, and don't accidentally start the script ticking ! [Etoys] etoys image freezing?

I'm not sure if it's something I've done or something that's appeared after downloading the last set of code updates. But basically, I'm finding the etoys-dev.image freezes as soon as I accept anything anywhere in the image (in a code browser, in a workspace window, etc.). I've tossed everything and started again from scratch but the same thing keeps happening - the image keeps freezing. ... All advice welcome. Thanks in advance - Mark
