Just this week I have installed Squeak3.9-final-7076.image from the www.squeak.org website. It starts fine but whenever I evaluate "SMLoader open", I see a an alert box pop-up saying "All SqueakMap master servers are down" 'map.squeak.org' 'map1.squealfoundation.org' map2.squeakfoundation.org' - however I can ping them all from my server (which is behind a Squid proxy but is otherwise able to contact any other http-based server running on any port. I'm being offered an option to debug this but I don't know where to start, can anyone advise please?

Don't know about 7076 image. Do you mean 7067 ?
www.squeak.org website. It starts fine but whenever I evaluate "SMLoader open", I see a an alert box pop-up saying "All SqueakMap master servers are down" 'map.squeak.org' 'map1.squealfoundation.org'
this works for me. Can you try again please ?

Don't know about your network configuration, but you have to know that there exists a proxy configuration for Squeak. Open the preference browser (world -> preferences & services -> preference browser -> category "http proxy").
Did you know there is a squeak image version for developers ? See http://damien.cassou.free.fr/squeak-dev/
Bye
Thanks Damien,
Apologies, I did mean 7067.
I've found the http proxy preferences on the Preferences but there's nothing showing - no checkboxes or text. Is the same for you? It sounds like I am nearly there ... can you show me how to set the proxy preferences?
I used http://www.lagado.com/proxy-test to find out about the proxy, it looks like it is cache2.uk.logicacmg.com:80 (squid/2.5.STABLE9); I still have my problem tonight.
I'll try your image next I think ...
Best regards,

The UI seems to have changed between 3.8 and 3.9, so it depends on your version. There's an easier way:
Open a Workspace (Desktop -> Open -> Workspace)
Type in: <<HTTPSocket useProxyServerNamed: 'cache2.uk.logicacmg.com' port: 80.>>
Select the text you just typed and press Alt-d (or Cmd-d or whatever... the command for "do it").
Also, for finding your proxy server, you're much better off looking at the settings for your installation of Firefox.
Regards, Michael.
