Is there a tandard way to attach context menus

Hello all, is there a standard way to attach a context menu to a morph? It's fairly easy to do by checking for yellowButtonPressed and manually firing up a MenuMorph. But it is sufficient to implement #addCustomMenuItems:hand: to get an enhanced Halo menu while #addYellowButtonMenuItemsTo:event: and #hasYellowButtonMenu don't help. Omnibrowser help

Are there some tips/documentation somewhere on getting the most out of the OmniBrowser? The MulitpleSelection browser looks interesting (sort of like the tabbed browser in VisualWorks), but I don't quite understand its behaviour and what method it decides to show in which pane when you move around or save changes. On the same topic, can anyone point me toward how I could add a new item to the class context menu in the OmniBrowser? I want to add a new template selection menu item (like "new class template" and "new trait template") because I have created a method that creates TWO classes at the same time for an Aida application (A domain model class AND its associated WebApp class). Resources with Monticello

Hi all, how does one work with resources (e.g. image files (GIFs, ...)) used in the application when working with Monticello and in general? Right now I have them on my hard drive and they are read live into Squeak when they are needed. Of course, others don't have the files at hand when working in a distributed fashion. What are the best practices in regard of distribution/packaging as well as performance? User account for squeak wiki.squeak.org

I am trying to edit a page but I can't find the place to create a user account. When I click the edit button in some page from the wiki, Iceweasel (Debian's unbranded Firefox) ask for a username and a password. When I click the history button, I get a list of changes and in the user column I see strings like: ACCF7AF4.ipt.aol.com so this makes me think that the edition of pages it is open and your IP address is used as your username. But, the problem is, I can't pass the user/password request. The user/password dialog says: http://wiki.squeak.org solicita un usuario y contraseña. El sitio dice: "/squeak/*" Something like: http://wiki.squeak.org needs a username and password. The site says: "/squeak/*" And if I click the cancel button it responds with: Unauthorized for: /squeak/* Can you please tell me what is the process to edit a page in the wiki.squeak.org? How would I save an object to disk separately and load it when needed?

I am practicing the seaside.gemstone.com tutorial and I want to know how to save just the object definitions and their data to a seperate file, then load it again, or even into a different image and run the website again. It sounds like very newbie question, but I would be very much obliged. /vfclists

Where to ask questions - Squeak Beginners and Squeak Dev?

What sort of questions are appropriate to each group (really means which questions should you not ask on Squeak Developers)? As I understand it Squeak is a variant of Smalltalk, so is Squeak beginners the proper place to ask about Smalltalk Proper and the IDE, with Squeak developers the place to ask questions about libraries and the implementation? The developers list has a lot more activity and it makes me wonder if most questions are better asked there even if a newbie. I would assume newbie means people new to programming rather than Smalltalk or its environments and libraries in general. -- Frank Church ======================= devblog.brahmancreations.com

Squeak - Beginning Morphic

Hello. I am trying to learn Morphic. I wish to create some sort of canvas, drop it into a movable, sizable, scrollable window, programmatically add say, a CircleMorph to it, and allow the user to grab and move the circle with the mouse. I am having trouble figuring out the proper sort of canvas class that would be best for adding/deleting/moving simple morphs around. Also, I am unsure how to get that canvas into a usable application sort of window. Finally, how would I allow the user to interact with the morphs on the canvas? I have searched through wiki.squeak.org a bit, but I really can't figure out the proper class for the canvas and how to manipulate it. Thanks!
