Putting the Fun in Functional: Applying Game Mechanics to Functional Software
I found this video interesting in regard to Etoys, like the idea of
flow and how users are presented with increasing complexity to keep
going.
there are also many ideas for the social media side of squeakland.org

Hello.
When will the replacement of svn.squeakland.org go live?
I think the fact we don't have central repository has been real blocker
to make any development go forward.

Stephen Trofinoff, who works at NCSA, volunteered to translate the text into Italian and developed a format that made it easy for me to put his text into the interactive guides. He worked in a word document and I worked in Etoys. It made a good division of the work since he didn't know Etoys and I didn't know Italian.

I can print screen your text if needed, and then use a scale factor to make it fit visually but expand when the reader clicks on it.

Great! I created this ticket to track progress:

To make use of this, there is work to do on

Hi everyone,
Our two Cambridge pilots start today, which are preparation for our Haitian pilots next month.
More at http://waveplace.com/news/blog/archive/000850.jsp
In the next few weeks, we'll be making the Basic Etoys and Storytelling units, which will become part of the Squeakland Courseware.
Also, Squeakland is starting its second Etoys book sprint. We hope to finish the manual and translate to Kreyol by the end of the month. Please help!
