You did this in line 2 rectangle color: Color white. You can send other messages like rectangle useRoundedCorners. If you dont have a reference to your morph, open a workspace, select in its menu "create textual references to dropped morphs" then drag and drop your morph into your workspace. Use the printed reference to send messages to. OBMultipleSelectionBrowser dragging methods

Sorry, this should start a new thread: Hello, playing with 3.10 beta #7159 I found that OBMultipleSelectionBrowser does not allow methods to be dragged. I might be missing something, but to me it seems, that in OBPluggableListMorphOfMany>>mouseDown mouseDown: evt | selectors row oldIndex oldVal | evt yellowButtonPressed "First check for option (menu) click" ifTrue: [^ self yellowButtonActivity: evt shiftPressed]. row _ self rowAtLocation: evt position. row = 0 ifTrue: [^super mouseDown: evt]. Hi all, I am fairly new to Squeak, and so far I have figured out the syntax and everything, I do understand the basics. However, I am stuck on one particular thing - manipulation of objects that have been created, and are now in a World. I think the easiest example of what I mean is by the following. Assume for a moment I have created a simple RectangleMorph in the World, in this case with a specific parameter, the color. The code for this would work out as: | rectangle | rectangle := RectangleMorph new openInWorld. rectangle color: Color white. Now, that the object is created in the World, how do I change its properties while it exists? How would one change the color of the RectangleMorph in this example, while it is on screen? Since everything is an object, and objects can receive messages, I do believe this to be possible, correct? Thanks for your help, Marcus

squeak map problems

Hello, I'm trying to download GLORP from SqueakMap and the contents of the sar file are in fact a small html with a login form, not zipped content as Squeak seems to expect. I tried getting a new password from SqueakMap (why do I need an account to download something? - I thought accounts were used for publishing) and the "random one-time password" email I get has no actual password in it. :-) I am using the 3.10gamma.7159 image with the 3.10 VM, but I doubt the issue is related to my local setup. [Newbies] Morph speeds up stepping when grabbed Hi kropki, I'm glad you were able to solve your problem. A while back I did some experimenting. What I saw was that browsers, particularly overlaping browser, were the culprit. When your morph is in the world (as opposed to when it is in the hand i.e. picked up) to update itself squeak needs to redraw all the morphs that are also within the boundries of your morph. If this includes a browser this will slow things down. If it overlaps several browsers... Well you can read the mantis report if your curiosity is still on. http://bugs.squeak.org/view.php?id=2084 0002084: Each overlaping browser slows down screen updates considerably. Caching the image would speed things up. The hand knows it is going to be updated frequently so it does clever things (like storing the pixels under it) in order to speed up the drawing process. This means when your morph was picked up it got special treatment. In particular it did not trigger the redrawing of the browsers. How to deep copy elements when using collectons?

Hi, I have a junior question when using collection to store/get my own defined element. My elements is defined as below: Object subclass: #MyItem instanceVariableNames: 'subItems' classVariableNames: '' poolDictionaries: '' category: 'MyTest' Where the subItems instance var is also a collection. But I don't know how to store/get such kind of MyItem by using collection, I think I need deep copy an element when add it to the collection. I don't think the following code works. |temp coll| temp := MyItem new. temp addSubItem: 'hello'; addSubItem 'world'; yourself. coll := OrderedCollection new. coll add: temp How can I add the deep copied element to my collection and retrieve it later? shall I overload the #copy method? Low space

Hi, i have one big problem. I get Space is low again and again. I dont know what happend and how restore my seaside image. Imagage has 550MB now. Can anybody help to do this: 1) search where is problem - look on proceses and kill some bad proces... 2) find what take 500MB :) and how to clear it i need fix it - i do lot of work today i dont want lost all work ;( Note: I am quite new in squeak but i must say this IDE is really bad. When i make infinte cycle i lost my work. I have developer image from seaside.st but this is as going back for 10-15 years in DOS or too old x-servers :(
