hello, I'm trying to use bags correctly, and i need a little help. I'd like to create a bag with some instance of a class with variables (for example: name, status). I'd like to make the identity of the bag on the name only, and be able in a loop to get the status of each item. With my example, the status is 'good' or 'bad', i want to check if one of the item with a certain name has the status 'good'. Could someone explain me how i can do that? benjamin

Printing in Squeak

Hi list! Someone knows how to send work for more than one printer from a Squeak image? What I saw until now is if I need to have something printed, I need to convert to Postscript and then send to the printer. But if I have a plain text printer? Or if I need to send to a printer in the network, and not to the local one? Thanks for the answers. -- Fábio

self executable with squeak -- pause on startup

Hello First week with squeak :) I have one (really not one:) question. When I start squeak by clicking on squeak.exe, I get pause about 15 sec. Then if in folder only one image file squeak starts with it. If I use somthing like 'Squeak.exe my.image' squeak startups immediatly. I must always use '.bat' files for applications? Or exist way to do this with more style? Where is problem? I don't think it is so expensive for VM to find image file(s). Alex.

Hi Hilaire and Yoshiki, About the fonts: Now I have no response to give you Yoshiki. I will have a look. About translations and gathering squeak users in Taiwan: Thanks to Hilaire I started to contact people in Taiwan. As a new foreigner in this country, I do not know many people! Hi, When I debug somethings I see UdefinedObject>>DoIt So #DoIt should be in UndefinedObject but I can't see it when I browse it? An other things intresting is where do nil being initialized? [I know he is an old friend but it should have been born in a certain time :-) ] best regards, Mathieu

Font list

Greetings, In Squeak (3.8) whenever a list of available fonts is presented, (eg. more...>>set font) the list contains, in alphabetical order, Accuat through ComicSansMs. Is that the complete list of fonts or am I just not finding how to scroll the list? Thanks, Chris

Traditional Chinese characters in Squeak

Hi! I would like to know if Traditional Chinese is available as a language for the Squeak environment. I am living in Taiwan and would like that children in my wife's school use Squeak with menus in Traditional Chinese characters. I saw that the Japanese environment is available. Accessing projects from a Web page

Hi, Is there a trick to accessing Squeak projects from a Web page? I built a Web page and linked to a project I put on my Web server which is hosted by a third party ISP. Instead of opening the project when the link is clicked the Windows download dialog box displays. I have to click the Open button to display the project. It works but I'd rather have the project display without the dialog box. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
