Failure while opening in another OS

Hi list! I have a little project in Squeak and I usually play in my home using Linux OS. Today I tried to open this project in my machine at work. The machine is a Windows XP Professional, 2002 version with SP 2. The workspace open and everything appears to be fine, but when I click in the class browser in any method, it show the message: "Error: Improper store into indexable object", and stop to respond the mouse events. Someone knows what am I doing wrong? self halt will hang the Squeak UI

Does anyone know why evaluating the following: |aString| aString := 'hello world'. self halt. in a workspace will hang the Squeak UI? Please note that any Seaside applications still function. How to invoke the Flaps Window?

Hi, I was wondering, where can I find and load the useful development tools for Squeak? I have downloaded the squeak-web-118.zip but it appears to be disabled the following in this image: Navigator Stack Tools Supplies Widgets Objects I looked in my first image, working.image, and these controls are in the Flaps Window? Thus, where/how do I locate it? Thanks in advance, -Conrad

I just started with the game tutorial and was able to figure out how to > add the Laser-Game-Model etc to the system browser but how do I add the > subclasses such as BlankCell, Grid, MirrorCell, TargetCell? > > Any help on how to use the System Browser would be great. When you select the Laser-Game-Model category, you see a class creation template on the bottom pane of the Browser. Fill it out as shown, then right-click and press "accept" (or press the keystroke alt-s/cmd-s, depending on platform) I am CC'ing this to Stephan; Stephan, could you add these instructions to page Great I got the message on how to do the subclass but how do you create a new protocol? tests etc etc In the tut on game. Sorry if I am a pain but I would real like to learn this and the game tut is got me very interested. Any help is great Chuck

How to use Mac OS X system fonts?

Hi, I'm on a Mac OS X 10.4.10 and I would like to use "Monaco 14pt" is there an easy way to access my system fonts. At this time, the Squeak environment doesn't contain all my fonts when I go to World -> appearance -> Standard System Fonts -> default text font... Thanks in advance, -Conrad

And was tired of problems if you wish copy files between two ? Here a Squeak solution what Windows XP and OS X don't have. You could save as and use in any Squeak. "Jolietize.st" For using on OS X | listaArchivos newName badChars oldFolder newFolder | badChars := #( $: $< $> $| $/ $\ $? $* $") asSet. oldFolder _ FileDirectory default. newFolder _ FileList2 modalFolderSelector. FileDirectory setDefaultDirectory: newFolder pathName. listaArchivos _ FileDirectory default fileNames copyWithout: ( FileDirectory default fileNames first). listaArchivos do: [:fName | (fName includesAnyOf: badChars )ifTrue:[newName := fName copyWithoutAll: badChars.FileDirectory default rename: fName toBe: newName.]]. Viewing differences between monticello snapshots

I really don't see what the diff button on Monticello is for. It pops up another window just like the one it just came from, and pressing browse on that window shows the whole snapshot. Chess

I'm new to Squeak. I've followed a few tutorials but I don't know how to "execute a program." In particular, I loaded the Chess program using the SqueakMap Package Loader, but I have no idea how to execute it. Can anybody help? Thanks, Richard
