Network error when trying to load a project from Squeakland server

Hi, I'm having this error when trying to connect to the server. I'm behind a proxy so I think that could be the problem. I tried to set it like this: HTTPSocket useProxyServerNamed: '10.17.100.251' port: 80. But it doesn't seem to have any effect.

!! Please Upload Your Etoys Projects !!

Hi everyone, With the launch of the beta Squeakland Showcase, we'd love for any and all to upload their favorite Etoys projects! Think of it as a Squeakland housewarming party, which for those that don't know the term, it's when friends come to your new house with gifts to make the house nicer for everyone. There's two ways you can upload projects: 1) If you're using the Etoys 4 release candidate, you can upload directly from Etoys. 2) If you're already got some PR files, the go to the showcase upload page: http://squeakland.org/showcase/upload Either way, you'll need to create a free account first. A few warnings though: A) any projects or project information with inappropriate content for children will be immediately deleted B) the showcase does not currently support non-latin alphabets (8859-1), such as Japanese, Russian, etc. We will fix this as soon as we can. You can still upload projects in these other languages, you just cannot use your alphabets in the project title, description, author, or tags. C) children under 13 must have their parent or guardian create their account for them We hope to have a great selection of projects before we go live with the Etoys 4 final on October 21st. Please spread the word to everyone you know. Please help us spruce up the showcase! Take care, Tim

Hi Marta, If you're using Windows, the man to ask is Yoshiki. Bert & Yoshiki . . . this is why I wanted the "Etoys 4" name :) My understanding is that it says "Etoys 4" on mac but still Etoys on Windows, and it overwrites. You can tell if you have Etoys 4 by opening it and clicking "About". Full screen bug in latest Beta to go

Hi, I just find a bug in the latest Etoys4-RC-ToGo: in Ubuntu when you toggle full screen on-off etoys never recovers, the only thing you get is a white screen. In windows it works fine.

Can you check the korean Etoys in pootle server?

0. Hi. Sayamindu. I'm YunJae(Korean Squeaker). I have two questions. 1. We have worked korean translation for Etoys 4. I did upload and merge the translation file, but pootle server is too late and proxy error, I can't do about next action now. I am afraid that korean translation file does not apply to public Etoys 4. Can you check the korean Etoys in pootle server? 2. And, I had made a mistake in pootle server. etoys 4 languages

Hi everyone, After nine months of work by our software team, and several weeks of sprinting by Bert Freudenberg, Yoshiki Ohshima, Scott Wallace, and myself, we're very happy to announce the Squeak Etoys 4 release candidate! What's a release candidate, you ask? Well, it's hopefully the final version, but we want more testing first. It's better than a beta, but not quite ready for real use. We'll be releasing the Etoys 4 final on October 21st. Please help us test the new Etoys! We want to make sure that it's rock solid before getting used in schools and homes throughout the world. Can't upload fonts for vietnamese version

Hi all, i would like to use the vietnamese version of EToys 4, but i can't switch to the vietnamese language. When i select 'Vietnamese' in the list, a panel says that i need to download fonts, but i can only cancel after that ... Any ideas ? Missing projects

Hi I uploaded and changes a few project on the 15 of September, today 16th they are not showing ? Did something happen to the server ? Karl
