Distributing other than HTML content

I need to distribute dynamically generated binary content (presented as a MIME document) directly from Seaside, without going through an HTML page first and through a link. I have written a RSS feed generator (which parses HTML coming from another site), and I'd like to be able to serve the RSS stream directly when called with a known URL (analyzed in a subclass of WAMain). Possible for WADispatcherEditor references to be hanging around?

I'm observing that my image seems significantly larger after running Seaside for a while. Its a 3.7 Basic image loaded with Seaside and a few of my packages which are rather small. I've stopped WAKom and did a Smalltalk garbageCollect. The windows XP task manager says its using 40MB. I've tried tracing and found that I have 2 instances of WADispatcherEditor. I'm rather lost tracing through all the references. Does anyone know if it is possible with WADispatcherEditor, or how I can track this down? Thanks. -- Regards HweeBoon MotionObj

User access control

Has anyone done anything on user access control and would be able to share thoughts, specifically, controlling access to "modules" and read/write access to specific fields, or perhaps field groups? Any other related information would be helpful too, thanks. -- Regards HweeBoon MotionObj

Have read through the various threads such as "How to do the ubiquitous home button?", do we still do it by implementing WAComponent#clearDelegate? Also, are there any consequences to sending #call: to a component multiple times? ie. I have a navigation bar with several links where each of them does a #call: to show the respective component. I'm trying to use the home link to, well, go back to home. Comments? -- Regards HweeBoon MotionObj

I have a component that was written to be invoked using WAComponent>call:. Its a dialog with an OK/Save button that sends #answer:. I'm trying to use it with WAHtmlRenderer>>render:. I've figured that I can perhaps do a myComponent onAnswer: [:v | "Retrieve the data in myComponent and do processing"]; I'm wondering if this is a proper way.. and if not, how I can accomplish something similar? Image shrinking

In the course of my current project, I did some work getting the image size down to something reasonable. I managed to get it down to 2.6 Mb while still containing Seaside, Commanche, YAXO and SIXX plus the MVC-based IDE. The Big Ball o' Scripts (plus some documentation) is here: http://www.sentex.ca/~cgreuter/downloads/MiniWeb-1.0.zip It needs to be filed in to a pristine Squeak 3.4-5170 image to work. The changesets for Seaside et. al. are in the zipball. problems with images actions

Hello! I'm currently doing a web application with Seaside. Looking at the tutorials I have no problems to doing my first version in a few days! I tell you some datails of what im doing, so ( maybe) you can help me... I have a map image (of some region of my country), and i want to put on other images (images of oil wells). In the model, I have instance variables with the coordinates of the wells (that represents exactly the coordinates in the map image). So, the hole idea is that when the user click in the well image, I can open the well editor. At this moment, I can open an image with another image on, but I can find how to put an action for the well image, rather than in the hole map... renderContentOn: html | map well | map := ImageReadWriter formFromFileNamed: 'Images\patagonia_map.jpg'. well := ImageReadWriter formFromFileNamed: 'Images\well.jpg'. well displayOn: map at: 48@562. html imageMapWithAction:[ :value | Transcript show: value printString; cr ] form: map. No error message if DNU when downloading scripts from WAScriptLibrary subclasses

If a DNU (for eg., forgetting to put a ^) is raised while downloading scripts through the WAScriptLibrary (and I guess styles from WAStyleLibrary too) mechanism, the error message is only viewable if you explicitly do a download of that script file. Should there be a debug link? Since there was a discussion of logging the transcript contents as a panel in the webpage, maybe it would be useful to show an error message there? -- Regards HweeBoon MotionObj
