I would hope so seeing as that's where majority of development is happening right now and cincom focus will first be on better integration and only then on seaside itself if I understand correctly. [bug] Scriptaculous problem

Using the Pier widget PRTabbedPagesWidget (available in pieraddons) which implements kalsey tabs, the tabs do not display their style changes in IE. The code which is perfroming the switch is as follows: scriptTabSelectedOn: aScript aScript element id: (self uid: 'head' at: (self findIndex: self selectedPrior ifAbsent: [ ])); removeClassName: 'option-selected'. aScript element id: (self uid: 'head' at: (self findIndex: self selected ifAbsent: [ ^ self ])); addClassName: 'option-selected'. self scriptSelectedOn: aScript best regards Keith

sspec questions

I am considering using SSpec for my testing (really liked RSpec when I used it). Do I need to unload SUnit before loading SSpec? If so, is that likely to go away in the future (lots of existing stuff uses it, and would be nice to be able to run their tests if I need to modify or extend). Is SSpec becoming widely used? Any graphical test runner? Thanks.

Truly Opaque URLs

I've had this idea for awhile but haven't gotten deep enough into Seaside to know how reasonable it is to do. Seaside sessions and ajax

Hello there, i having few questions about how seaside handling ajax update requests. I found that it handles differently, not like a regular page navigation. For instance - continuation is not changing. And i have a problem with sessions: when session expires, by default we redirect page to show login page. But with ajax its just returns an empty result, rendering updated page parts empty. How i can handle session expiration with ajax correctly? Also, i would like to make continuations updating for ajax, so any user action regardless ajaxed or not with have new continuation id. How this can be done? Regard, Igor

Conditional comments types and VirtualEarth example

Hi, according to http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms537512.aspx there are two types of conditional comments: "downlevel-hidden" and "downlevel-revealed". Currently the seaside class WAOpeningConditionalComment seems to support only downlevel-hidden (see WAOpeningConditionalComment>>encodeOn:) This makes some trouble to make my VirtualEarth example working with Firefox 2.0.0.9 on Windows. The VirtualEarth control is by default working with IE and needs a patch for firefox. (see http://blogs.msdn.com/virtualearth/archive/2006/02/13/531896.aspx) updateRoot: anHtmlRoot anHtmlRoot if not; ie; do: [ anHtmlRoot script url: 'http://local.live.com/JS/AtlasCompat.js'] See http://www.squeaksource.com/SeasideExamples/VirtualEarthDemo-tbn.1.mcz for the complete code and a sample. Note that the "not" operator is an extension I would like to see in base seaside. But with Firefox 2.0.0.9 on Windows the example is starts to work when I change WAOpeningConditionalComment>>encodeOn: by removing the "--" into encodeOn: aDocument aDocument nextPutAll: '<!['; nextPutAll: self condition; nextPutAll: ']>' Looks like a "downlevel-revealed" is required here. Hi there, I readed that Prototype people have implemented #fire in 1.6.0 version which allows to trigger DOM custom events from your elements. I'm starting to need that feature. Has anybody tried to upgrade Scriptaculous package or tested it with Prototype 1.6.0? Lukas? cheers, Sebastian Sastre

URL Manipulation

Hi, I am currently wondering how can I manipulate urls generated by Seaside. In my application I have several components which can be displayed in the main interface. In some of them I create some anchors. First I want to konw how can I add some parameters in this url ? Second, when the link is clicked, how can browse the parameters in my current url in order to take some decisions depending on their values ? For example, imagine a "cloud tag" where each tag is an anchor which should recall another component which could be a kind of research component. >From the Seaside FAQ, I read some stuffs about that. It seems that this parameters is stored in the session variable but I have to recognize that I need some more explanations... Thanks in advance. Sylvain
