isolate

Hi, Given it looks like the isolate method is never going to added back to the current or future versions of Seaside as it's been an open bug issue for the last 5 years, how in general would go about replicating it's behaviour ? I think it's a shame as I think this sort of functionality made Seaside standout from the crowd as a web framework. Thanks

Updating browser history from an ajax response

I have a Seaside application that is almost 100% AJAX driven to replace the visual components (no call/answer involved). I plan to to use history.pushState() and history.replaceState() My plan is to update the browser url after replacing some components, but using the URL building of the existing #updateUrl: (including _s/_k parameters and whatnot). Is it possible to obtain the URL of the session presenter within the ajax response? Thanks in advance, Esteban A. Maringolo

Always getting WARequestContextNotFound while debugging

Hi, Since moving to Seaside 3.x in Squeak 5.x, it seems like I haven't been able to debug as well as I used to. This has been happening for a while but I just thought I'd ask about it now. It seems worse lately...? It seems like after I hit "Debug" on a Seaside Walkback, I go back to my image and enter the debugger. Then when I try to evaluate / print / inspect various statements maybe three items down the stack, I always end up with something like a WARequestContextNotFound window. Basically, it seems like I can't interact with anything but the topmost item in a debugger anymore, but I could be totally wrong about that. I don't suppose this would have anything to do with proxying through Apache or nginx...? I'm also having trouble clicking on individual stack items in the Seaside Walkback, but that might be unrelated, or related to the proxy. Here is a sample stack when trying to inspect/print something three items down in the stack after hitting "Debug" on a Seaside Walkback. Asynchronous update from web server

Ciao, I have a Seaside application. I do not know the technical terms of my request ( sorry ). I ask if it is possible to update a web client asynchronously directly from the server. For now i manage the update from the client with the jquery load and relative interval: 10 seconds. But this solution don't respond well at my problematic. Thanks for considerations, Dario

WAWebServerAdaptor fix

Hi, I've made a small fix to WAWebServerAdaptor>>#requestUrlFor: It does not need another '/' added between host and webRequest rawUrl — I believe webRequest rawUrl already begins with a slash. Should I submit a pull request for this? Thanks, Tim J

A guide to integrate Seaside with JS

Hi, Is there any guide (step by step) that describe necessary steps to integrate a JavaScript library with Seaside ? I just integrated Signature Pad (https://github.com/szimek/signature_pad) with Seaside (my first JS integration with Seaside). It is the first version and i want to do the next version more Smalltalkish. The current version works ok but is more a hack than a Smalltalk style integration. For example i do not create any Smalltalk objects just inject the JavaScript code and this JS code copy the JS invocations (adn results) in HTML hidden fields.
