I would hope so seeing as that's where majority of development is happening right now and cincom focus will first be on better integration and only then on seaside itself if I understand correctly. [bug] Scriptaculous problem

Using the Pier widget PRTabbedPagesWidget (available in pieraddons) which implements kalsey tabs, the tabs do not display their style changes in IE. The code which is perfroming the switch is as follows: scriptTabSelectedOn: aScript aScript element id: (self uid: 'head' at: (self findIndex: self selectedPrior ifAbsent: [ ])); removeClassName: 'option-selected'. aScript element id: (self uid: 'head' at: (self findIndex: self selected ifAbsent: [ ^ self ])); addClassName: 'option-selected'. self scriptSelectedOn: aScript best regards Keith

[ANN] Update Seaside tutorial

Dear list, The Seaside tutorial of the Software Architecture Group (Hasso-Plattner-Institut, University of Potsdam) is available in a new version. We have inserted new contents, like persistence with Magma or a new chapter about Magritte. Other parts have been improved with the help of the community. Thanks for all the replies and hints we have received after the first release. As noticed by Randal, there are currently many URL rewrites when calling a tutorial page. The tutorial will move from http://www.swa.hpi.uni-potsdam.de/seaside/tutorial to http://www.hpi.uni-potsdam.de/swa/seaside/tutorial. We have already prepared some things, that is why there are so many rewrites. It will change soon. sspec questions

I am considering using SSpec for my testing (really liked RSpec when I used it). Do I need to unload SUnit before loading SSpec? If so, is that likely to go away in the future (lots of existing stuff uses it, and would be nice to be able to run their tests if I need to modify or extend). Is SSpec becoming widely used? Any graphical test runner? Thanks.

AJAX

Hello, i am coming to seaside from php and it looks as really hard way :-), but i used JQuery for easy and fast ajax. There was something like from index.php call skript.php via ajax and when i get result i can clear (change his inner html = everything between his div tag) < div class="clearme"> and change his content with new html. I want do this in root component render left menu head and bottom and content area. And i want change content with ajax. Sometimes shows new, sometimes users account info etc. i look on scriptacolous website but i dont find any demo to do this. May be it's problem i dont know whati want to find because i think there will be now script to call site skript.php from index.php :). But can anybody show me best way to do what i want? Thnx

Learning Squeak class syntax

Hi all. I have just installed seaside 2.8 on Fedora. Nice installation - works out of the box. The reason for my interest in Squeak is I want to learn smalltalk class syntax, so I can convert the smalltalk design pattern examples in the GoF book to other languages, such as Java and PHP. Can anyone suggest the quickest way of getting my head around smalltalk class and object syntax, to help me accomplish this please? ProtoGrowl

Hello, I am attempting to get the ProtoGrowl demo running in Squeak 3.10. When I launch the demo that comes with the ProtoGrowl package it brings up the demo page but when I click on "create via explicit instantiation" or any other of the links, I get an javascript error and nothing happens. I suspect that the async mechanism is not working on the client side because I have a breakpoint on the serverside in the callback (the block of code on the server side) and the breakpoint is never triggered. Using firebug, it reports an error in protocol.js line 1239: > this.transport.send(this.body); and another error at line 3382: > element.attachEvent("on" + name, wrapper); Does anyone know what is wrong here?
