iCal feed to Drupal

Turns out our issues with providing an iCal feed to Drupal were caused by Seaside code in VW. The current one-click Pharo image works fine. I tried it with a simple test... renderContentOn: html | response doc string | string := self iCalText. doc := string asMIMEDocumentType: 'text/calendar;charset=utf-8'. response := WAResponse new. response contentType: 'text/calendar; charset=UTF-8'; nextPutAll: doc content; yourself. response doNotCache. self session returnResponse: response. ...the same code used in VW causes a one minute delay before the response, for which a retry is sent, and that adds up to a two minute delay before Drupal responds. I'll try more recent Seaside code for VW, but the problem is related to Drupal sending a HTTP/1.0 request. Eventually, you end up in SeasideHttpBuildHandler>>safelyRead:from:into: which waits on #atEnd sent to Net.BodyStream (which wraps an ExternalReadStream on a 20480 element ByteArray). The browser HTTP/1.1 request does not trigger this code. It would be interesting to hack this down to the root cause, but I'd rather try the beta 3.0 VW code first. I've burned a bit too much time on this already (it was really nice seeing Pharo work out of the box; nicely done). Thanks again for everyone's help, Bob Nemec Cherniak Software

Updating non Smallfaces component.

Hi All, I have an object SearchInterface, a subclass of WASmallFacesComposite. On SearchInterface there are rendered a number of SFListBoxes and SFButtons. Included are three listboxes that are cascaded and the control was created like this: createRegionListBox |pane panes list| list := self session findCodeByParent: 'region'. panes := OrderedCollection with: ( self paneNamed: 'nhoodList') with: ( self paneNamed: 'cityList'). pane := SFListBox new. pane name: 'regionList'; items: list; lines: 5; printSelector: #asString; owner: self; when: #changed: send: #regionSelectionChanged: to: self refresh: panes. ^pane The listboxes work correctly. What I need to do is have a GoogleMap rendered on SearchInterfaces as well. The map will not be a WAComponent as I need to render it as new whenever the listbox contents change. But not before an Update button is pressed. Such as: createUpdateButton | pane panes | panes := OrderedCollection with: (*self paneNamed: 'mapDisplay')*. pane := SFButton new. pane label: 'Update Map'; name: 'updateButton'; when: #clicked send: #updateButtonPressed to: self refresh: panes. ^pane The question is how do I create *mapDisplay*? mapDisplay is rendered like this everytime the update button is pressed. map ^LBCGoogleMap new setCenter: model coordinates zoom: model zoom; addControl: GControl largeMapControl; setUIToDefault; yourself. Can I place it on a SmallFace component that will render as I desire or do I replace it with non SmallFace components? Thank you for any assistance. Tim

I think we're good, now. I had made the mistake of using VW to check the saved ics files before, and it changed the Google cr, lf to a single cr. I should know better. So now I answer an massaged file with cr, lf. This is the output from hexdump -C <file> (octal dump is just too painful). We're looking at Drupal diagnostics now. Every other web tool is happy with our data. From what we can see the Google and our iCal files are the same format. The browser responds to both the Google feed and our own by asking if you want to save or open the file, so I assumed that just answering the iCal data in HTML would not suffice. I tried using just 'html html: self iCalData', which the browser displayed in place (vs. an open or download option). It also did not work with Drupal. Is there another way to answer the iCal contents without the 'Content-Dispostion'? What other tool can I use to view the raw data feed from the Google iCal URL? Also, I'm not sure how robust the Drupal code is, which is why we tried the gzip download. It may just expect it. I can find not documentation on the internals or on the expected feed details. BTW: Sorry for posting the original question twice; had some email & Nabble problems.

Are you sure its actually utf8? I had to put some nasty hacks in VW/Seaside to get that to work in both 7.6 and 7.7... Is with a redirect the only way to set a cookie in Seaside? The WACookieTest class says: add | response | self session respond: [ :url | response := self session redirectResponseFor: url. response addCookie: (WACookie key: key value: value). response ]. key := value := nil Also the method self session redirectWithCookie: (WACookie key: #kdy value: var). Obfuscating/Deleting jQuery dialogs after logging out

Hi - I allow users to change their address information in a jQuery dialog. Once they log out another person could click the back button enough times until they are able to see the user's address. Logging in is optional and I want users to be able to use the back button, so I don't think I can put the application in an isolate: block. Is there an accepted way to mask the information shown in the dialog so that a third party working at the computer could not easily see the user's address later? They can't change the address but they can read it. replaceWith: or #destroy don't have the affect I'd like. Thanks for any guidance Paul
