How to avoid Magritte 3 load Seaside?

I cannot find a way to workaround that. Latest Magritte 3.5.1 ends up using #baseline330: which calls #baseline310CommonExtDeps: That methods does: project: 'Seaside3' with: [ "note: we do not want to depend on Zinc, since this is not present in Squeak. Currently no adapter is loaded" spec className: 'ConfigurationOfSeaside3'; versionString: #'stable'; loads: #('Core' 'Javascript' 'RSS' 'Filesystem' 'Welcome' ); repository: 'http://smalltalkhub.com/mc/Seaside/MetacelloConfigurations/main' ] As you can see, it tries to load certain packages from certain Seaside place. And that is bad. Why? Because for example, "Filesystem" is not available for GemStone...so that fails... The only suspect I have is that in magritte it uses ConfigurationOfSeaside3 and shub address while in my code I load BaselineOfSeaside3 from github and so, maybe, Metacello does not even see that as a conflict and hence all my efforts are lost. Seasiders From time to time we get walkbacks on our production servers when users want to login/create a new session due to failed cleanup/unregister of old sessions. No, I didn't say that. I am building a Cordova app for an Android tablet. This comprises an html file along with an attendant js file. The Javascript page is making a REST GET request back to a Seaside server (on a remote Windows Server node). What that gets is an HTML response as mentioned earlier. This HTML response includes a JSON with the data. The Javascript on the Android device then parses out the JSON. What I wanted to do was for Seaside to only send the JSON as a response to the GET request to save doing the little bit of parsing but the Seaside solution is more complex than the 5 line JS so I will go with the JS. This is all part of an Open University project. Thanks for the advice however, I always find responses like this outside of my capabilities due to my lack of in-depth knowledge of Seaside. In fact, I solved my problem quite simply by writing a few lines of JavaScript as follows: var first = data.indexOf("{");var next = data.indexOf("}");userJson = data.slice(first,next + 1);userJson = userJson.replace(/&quot/g, '\"');userJson = userJson.replace(/;/g, '');return $.parseJSON(userJson) where the $.parseJSON is a jquery.mobile.js method. Showing and hiding an overlay during an ajax call

Hi guys, I want to show and dismiss an overlay (https://gasparesganga.com/labs/jquery-loading-overlay/) during an quite long processing that starts from an ajax call. Showing the overlay is not an issue, but I can't dismiss it. My code is: html document addLoadScript: (JSStream on: '$.LoadingOverlay("show");'). html jQuery ajax callback: [ ... ] value: (JSStream on: '...'); onSuccess: ((html jQuery id: 'myId') load html: [ :h | self veryLongOperationOn: h ]). Now I don't know where to put the code to hide the overlay. Removing HTTP headers

Hi there.I am using Seaside in Instantiations VAST Smalltalk to talk to an Android mobile phone app built using Cordova (basically HTML and JavaScript).I have built a standard REST interface for obtaining and updating data,which is stored in a Riak NoSQL Key/Value database. The database data is stored as JSON and the mobile phone Javascript (via JMobile) has a JSON parser. Suggested extension for WASelectTag

Hi, I needed a way to add an attribute of each option in a select list, because Seaside uses the value attribute for its server side callback. The reason was I wanted to do something on the browser side onChange/onKeyUp based on some business values. Here is what I changed in WASelectTag: * added inst var: itemConfigBlock with getter and setter * changed #renderListItemLabelled: to renderListItem: anObject labelled: aString | option | option := canvas option. self hasCallback ifTrue: [option value: (self valueFor: anObject)]. titleBlock isNil ifFalse: [option title: (self titleFor: anObject)]. itemConfigBlock ifNotNil: [:block | block value: option value: anObject]. option selected: (self isSelected: anObject); disabled: (self isEnabled: anObject) not; with: aString And this is how you can use it: html select items: MyListOfItems; callback: []; itemConfigBlock: [:option :anObject| option attrbibuteAt: 'data-value' put: anObject someValue asString]. Was this available already and did I overlook it? Does this sound reasonable? Worth adding to Seaside? JQueryWidgetBox, Seaside 3.2, Pharo 6

Hi all, I'm trying to load JQueryWidgetBox into Seaside 3.2 on a fresh Pharo 6 image. Current ConfigurationOf on STH defines version 2.8, which hardcodes dependency on Seaside 3.1. I made a local version 2.9, changing said dependency to Seaside 3.2, and do-it'ed (heh), which led to a debugger when loading JQWidgetBox-FullCalendar-Dev-PaulDeBruicker.6 with the error "Instance of WAMutualExclusionCache did not understand #expiryPolicy". Finder did not locate #expiryPolicy anywhere in the image. I commented out that line in the debugger and ploughed on. Loading completed without further event. Test Runner reports 98 run, 97 passes, and 1 failure in JQGridSearchResponseTest's #testCreateJson, which looks immaterial going by the error message. Clicking around these widges in the web browser shows that a number of them don't work. Pierce
