Artefact utf8-textjustify and pagination

Greetings, I am starting with Artefact for pdf in Seaside App. Documents are contracts. I do not achieve the following functions: -Justification of text in paragraphs. -Pagination. -Letters with accents á é í ó ú ñ Ñ (utf8) or (iso8859-1). These functions are possible?. Thanks in advance Oswall

For some reason I am no longer getting these emails. (I'd really like to move this mailing list to better forum, like a Google Group or questions on Stack Overflow). Found this from Joachim in the archive......we had to register an event handler with the doument using an extra selector. in Javascript you'd have to do it like this: $(document).on("click","button#idOfTheButton", function(event) {...} ); (see https://api.jquery.com/on/ <https://api.jquery.com/on/> for details)In Seaside, this would look like this: (html jQuery document) on: 'blur' selector: '#myButton' do: ( (html jQuery ajax) .... ...I tried that, but if I include the button render in the reloaded div, with the on:selector:do: outside of the reloaded div, I get the same symptom: the 'click' (changed from 'blur') event does not consistently fire, as if the selector did not find the button. Adding console.log() tracing shows the occasional absence of the button onClick event. Seems that the rule for me is: don't reload components that contain onClick scripts.

I have a design pattern question: what is the good way to deal with ajax callbacks when the component is refreshed by a previous component’s onBlur action, using jQuery load html: […]? We use onBlur to get the data from input fields and to refresh the state of the view. The problem comes up if a button is included in the refresh: the ajax callback from that button is not handled (which makes sense due to the jQuery load), so the user has to press the button again. To get around this we’re selective about which components we refresh, but it feels like there should be a better way. Here is a simple example (coded in VW), where #stringValue is an instVar. Entering a value and triggering the onBlur will show the ' value: ' in the Transcript, but pressing the button will not show the ' button: ' string until the second press, since the onBlur happens before the button callback and the onBlur is rendering the button again. Seaside performance

Hi, I have tried to improve performance on my Seaside web pages, and tried to « wire » the encoding, because the lookup for encoder looked very slow. DateInput5 in Seaside widget preinitialized value view

Regarding dateInput5 in Seaside. How a previously initialized date can be displayed in the form's dateInput5 widget. I use a pre-initialized date type value that is a property of the object to render on the form. html label for: 'startDate'; with: 'Start Date: '. html dateInput5 on: #startDate of: self contract; id: 'startDate'; step: 1; title: 'Start Date'; value: self contrato startDate; required. Widget don't render date initialized. I can't get it to show up. Thanks, Oswall

Hi All, Newbie question here. I am working through Chapter 21.6/21.6.1 of the Seaside book using both it and the Github version (Square Brackets Associates) as a cross reference for new material. I am running into an issue where when adding the jQuery functionality as described in section 21.6.1, 'Adding an Effect,' I do not get the effect. For some reason the code that is supposed to add jQuery to a page: renderHeadingOn: html | helpId | helpId := html nextId. (html heading) class: 'helplink'; onClick: ((html jQuery new id: helpId) ***** <<<------ HERE slideToggle: 1 seconds); with: self model title. (html div) id: helpId; class: 'help'; style: 'display: none'; with: 'The ToDo app enhanced with jQuery.' Does not result in the rendered page getting the <link script element added to the head section nor in the <script> tag before the closing body tag (all according to firefox's developer tools as per: [image.png] Any help would be greatly appreciated. Detailed instructions or a how to to get Bootstrap4 working on Pharo9?

Hi, I followed the instructions here: https://github.com/astares/Seaside-Bootstrap, to a T and proceeded to create a class: WAComponent subclass: #MyBootstrapExample instanceVariableNames: '' classVariableNames: '' package: 'iExamples' From there I added two methods: renderContentOn: html html heading level2 with: 'Examples'. html alert bePrimary with: 'A simple primary alert—check it out!'. html break. rendererClass ^ SBSHtmlCanvas From here I registered the app and I get a page rendered. Problem: There is no bootstrap? (The head section of the rendered page has no links to any css or js other than the standard development.css. Note: All the default bootstrap examples work and all there rendered pages have the head section links that I would expect. Question: 1. Why are not may pages including the links to the boostrap/jquery libraries? 2. How do I correct this (having the same issue with jquery (classes are loaded as they are embedded but not head section references?)? Such a new port will be officially released in VAST 2022 (11.0.0) but we wanted to give you a chance to try it and provide feedback before then. It contains a .dat with the new version of the Seaside configuration maps: z.ST: Server Smalltalk (SST) - Seaside v3.4.4 f z.ST: Server Smalltalk (SST) - Seaside Testing v3.4.4 j zz.Server.AbtSstSeasideFeature v3.4.4 c You should import all versions of all configuration maps and then load what you need.
