Strange Behaviour

I am using firefox, have cleared history and all private data, and when I try to config a seaside app it sends me to this website http://www.seasidefl.com/ any ideas? BUG config app as root does not work with session cookie enabled

Subject attempts to say it all. I discovered that configuring my pier app as root according to Lukas' instructions ( http://smallwiki.unibe.ch/smallwiki/pier/configuretoberootapplication/ ) worked fine with session cookies set to false, but refused to work otherwise. best regards Keith ___________________________________________________________ Try the all-new Yahoo! Wrong URLs with Internet Explorer (again)

Hi: This is a problem that I've found time ago. Then was not very important because I can manage to use only Firefox, but now I must to expose to Internet a customer application and works ok with Firefox, but when I try to access it using IE, all the urls look bad, as by example: http:///seaside/counter. "Something" is removing the "localhost:port" or "IP:port" from the url, but I can't figure out what thing is generating this behavior. Inside my applications also the "IP:port" look stripped from all the urls. I've tried playing with Resource Base URL and Server Hostname from seaside configuration, but can't solve the problem. I must say also that I'm using ShoreComponents. Any help will be appreciated. Cheers. gsa.

You can certainly leave off my first step (custom session) if you don't have state to manage - I always do this out of habit to abstract away the persistent data store. The rest is kind of mandatory - you need a base class to specify your renderer (if you want to use canvas renderer), and you need a root/home page component. Internationalization

I was just pondering various ways of going about implementing internationalization in our new Seaside application and I can't help but come back to the idea of using VisualWorks' message catalogs, but extending them to do string conversion on a per-session basis rather than per-image locale setting. I'm sure others have addressed the issue in other ways as well and I would love to hear the details before going too far down the chosen path. How to set focus on text fields?

I generate some pages that have a text field using code like this: html form: [html text: self text , '?'. html textInputWithCallback: [:value | self acceptedValue: value]. html submitButtonWithAction: [self accepted: true. self triggerEvent: #inputAccepted with: self] text: 'Accept'. html div] When the page loads I need to be able to automatically set the input focus to the field so the user can just start typing, and then when Enter is pressed the submit button should get triggered. Is there a Seaside 'convenience way' to do this, or if not how would I set about doing this in Seaside 'the hard way'? ;-) Also, is there any way to generate a page such that the view scrolls down to a particular WAComponent when the page loads? I'd just noticed XHTML validator complaining about <form> not specifying its 'action', is there an easy way to comply with the spec w/o breaking any of the functionality? RE: [Seaside] Lightbox?

For some reason the lightbox'ed component does not come up in the center of the screen and stays in that same position when browser window is resized. Even worse, the transparent overlay is also not being resized, so expanding the browser window leaves unobscured parts of the background window visible. It works in the scriptaculous demo though via 'View Source'. Any ideas? I've added SULibrary to my application.
