I want to generate a sitemap.xml from seaside but wonder what is the best solution to do it. I've found Ramon's posts (http://onsmalltalk.com/stateless-sitemap-in-seaside and http://onsmalltalk.com/generating-a-site-map-for-onsmalltalk). In the comments Cedrick seems to say that WADocumentHandler is the way to go for seaside 2.9/3.0. I haven't found any example about it... What's the best way to do it ? Cheers, Fa

Thanks to Joachin Small World I have changed the code as follows: 1. Use cancelButton instead of submitButton in ConcatView. 2. Change the editContact as follows: <code> editContact: aContact (editor contact: aContact) onAnswer: [ :answer | answer ifFalse: [ self handleAnswer: false. ] . ] </code> The code above works and the Cancel button works properly. I would like feedback as to the validity of the solution. I had explored other solutions including: 1. Use of Magritte 2. Returning nil up the hierarchy on Cancel. 3. I had tried a variation of the solution suggested in Chapter 11.5, but that solution suffers from problems inherent in the example of Chapter 11.5 (only works when the the ContactViewList is rerendered). Removing the contact fails because when the button is reclicked, the list no longer contains the contact. P.S. This an old problem that had remained unsolved for me ( I posted the problem before)

Hi Nick, Right, I don't want people to have to type the extra /mysite. The book doesn't really help as I'm only using Swazoo as server and I don't have an Apache at the moment. Using nginx file upload module

Hi all, I'm calling for people who have got the nginx file upload module to work in their seaside apps... We are trying to use the Nginx file upload module but are stuck when the request needs to get passed on to seaside. We are using a configuration with a separate '/upload' location that gets handled by the file upload module. The request then needs to get passed to the upstream backend (seaside) but that request still has the URI '/upload' and we do not seem to get it rewritten to the '/seasideapp' URI. Is there anyone who has this working completely and could give us some advice on how solve this? The relevant parts of our nginx conf look like this: We also tried with a named location, but according to the docs, that makes the request arguments be dropped (and we need the _s & _k args for seaside...) JQWidgetBox Bubble Tips

Just out of curiosity, how come when I load html I need to have an id for it to work? ie. html jQuery this bubbletip target: (html jQuery html: [:r | r span id: r nextId; class: 'tip'; with: 'You live here!' ]); deltaDirection: 'down'; animationDuration: 0; offsetTop: -275 Without the id, it doesn't work. Also, (Nick Ager wrote this one?) suggested that Tipsy be created in the widget box... does anyone know if that happened? http://onehackoranother.com/projects/jquery/tipsy/ RS

[ANN] Google Analytics Tracker, a small tool

Hi, I want to announce the release of Google Analytics Tracker, a small tool we make for getitmade.com (Nick Ager's project), to allow us to get analytics data. Right now is very simple, it just give us page visits data, but can be used as a foundation to get a lot more info. You get it by: Gofer it squeaksource: 'gat'; package: 'ConfigurationOfGoogleAnalyticsTracker'; load. (Smalltalk at: #ConfigurationOfGoogleAnalyticsTracker) load. To see how it works just see GAAccess class>>#example. It uses Zinc and PetitParser, so if gemstone can load both packages, it will work without any problems (I think it will, but I will check it tomorrow... maybe with a different configuration). You will be able to add to your pages something like the image I'm sending :) Cheers, Esteban

html jQuery window

Unless I'm mistaken (not that I would be surprised) I can only find html jQuery document (JQueryClass #document). The function I was working on with window works if I copy that same idea and do this: html jQuery expression: (JSStream on: 'window')) height. Is there a better way to accomplish this, or am I on the right track? Thanks,RS

Hi Nick, Sorry but I don't get it :(. Let me explain a bit more. I have 2 small "private use" sites. I want to access them with their own domainname and that doesn't work. I can access them with my.domain1.com/domain1 and my.domain1.com/domain2 or my.domain2.com/domain1 and my.domain2.com/domain2, but using my.domain1.com or my.domain2.com just gets me the Welcome screen. I guess I must change the default of WADispatcher, but do I need to do this for both sites ?
