I posted about this recently, but didn't even see the message come through, let alone a reply. Weird.
I do a weekly lab with some 8-10 year olds. They share laptops, so we really need a way for them to save what they are doing to a file server or something similar. But I can't make it work. (We're on Windows XP).
Tried putting a shortcut to the file server inside the squeak folder, but there wasn't any way to select it.
Any advice?

One simple trick to get to more navigation options: instead of just clicking on the find button, press and hold. You will get a menu with more options. Select "find a project (more places)": Same for publish. Choose "publish to different server" here.
Hope this helps

Hi Guyren,
By customizing squeak.ini setting, you can change "sandbox" location to other than "C:\My Squeak" (see http://wiki.squeak.org/squeak/3274) Note that remote location like "\server\folder" don't work, so you need to mount it as a network drive.

Squeak don't know anything about shortcut stuff of windows and can't follow it.
hope this helps, /Korakurider
