It seems to be showing up in my version which is directly off the squeakland website a few days ago. Squeakland 3.8.5976 latest update: #347.

To John and Randy
By the way, headingTheta is part of the vector category in etoys, has a different purpose and orientation than "heading", and is not needed for making spirals or other LOGO like geometric figures. "headingTheta" (and
the rest of the vector stuff) is usually not visible in a vanilla Etoy system. How did you get it to be visible in yours?
Cheers,
Alan

Hi Randy,
Attached is a quick, if somewhat simple-minded, fix.

How might one create a script to draw a spiral? I mistakenly

is not
dynamically updated in this script, i.e. the heading never changes.

Hi, Arvind -
Actually, #347 is *not* the latest update -- it is #371.
For the sake of others on the list, please know that downloading Squeak (or installing it clean on a computer from the "Download Squeak Now!" option on the homepage) will not always give you *all* the updates, so it is great to periodically check the Squeakland homepage and the "Get Squeak Updates!" button also found under "Download Squeak".
If you do this now, you'll find updates that bring your system up to #371. This includes the fixes I wrote about (fonts) last week.
cheers, Kim
