Hi Squeakers!
As an old fan of Smalltalk (I first encountered Smalltalk as the "Methods" MS DOS implementation released by DigiTalk in the mid-eighties) I'm looking forward to using Squeak (browser-embedded and/or stand-alone) as a framework to build a client-side application that will display media rich forms including streaming video. Is there support for displaying video, similar to Squeak's built-in sound and 3-d animation support? Where is it documented?
TIA, Joseph

Hi Joseph --
Squeakland is for teachers and parents. Check out http://www.squeak.org which is for questions like yours. The simple answer is "yes", Squeak has a multiplatfrom mpeg player. Its best trait is that it is multiplatform. However, it is more limited than most of the commercial players, and needs to be worked on to keep pace with the commercial world.
Cheers,
Alan
