Pretty much the same as for iOS: Design and implement a UI that is usable by touch.
That's the biggie. Getting it to work shouldn't take much longer than a couple of weekends, given that there is a Squeak VM already available.

While I am all for "authoring always on" having Etoys projects that could run on Android (without authoring, which would be really annoying for fat finger folks like myself on such a small screen) would be a BIG motivator for kids. It would also help us get a lot more usage and attraction to Etoys. Imaging creating an Android App as simple as creating an Etoys project!!!

Just to clear I assume the unit is "Bert weekends"

For those who don't recognize Hilaire: His "Dr. Geo" is in both Apple's and Google's app stores:

Looks like Google broke the link.

Yes, that's part of the thing you have to do: restrict the access to some devices, otherwise people will badly rate your apps because they can't use it on there beloved tiny device.
You can try this direct access to install an APK on your GSIII https://gforge.inria.fr/frs/?group_id=1308&release_id=7777 It should install but it will be unusable, the smallest useable device can be a Galaxy Note with a stylus (I regulary use it on this device) or a tablet 7".
By the way if any has a Samsung Galaxy Note 10" I will be happy to read about using drgeo on it.
If there is a ready image for etoys I can try to pack it. Oh but wait, does Etoys work with the COG stack VM?
Thanks
Hilaire
