Can I/how can I change an existing variable name and have that name change propagate throughout all scripts using that variable?
Thanks, Randy

Do you mean an object's instance variable's name, or an object's name?
In either case, the rename should propagate to existing scripts.
Thanks Ned. I was using an object's instance var. Sure enough, when I do a simple test in a brand new project, I see that changing the var name does indeed propagate into the script. Cool. My other situation is this convoluted project we've been building which is a mixture of projects (dragging & dropping objects from one to another). Anyway, I'm apparently in some weird state where changing an object's var name does not get propagated into the scripts. I'm not worrying about it now, due to a pressing deadline :)
