All of a sudden, when I do a (hold down) 'FIND' -> find any file (or, find a project (more places)), I don't see my local disks, e.g. c:, d:. All I see is the list of 8 other places: <my squeak folder>, Bobs SuperSwiki... local-bss. Just a couple days ago I *was* able to see/grab files on my local disks. Any explanations? Running 3.8.5976, update 387.
Thanks, Randy

Is that after you loaded a project? Loading a project activates the security sandbox, which hides all local discs except your My Squeak directory.

Very bizarre because, as I said, I'd been doing exactly this inside a project. Numerous times I would do a 'FIND' to grab a jpg image from other locations on my local disks (I didn't dream this :). Is there some mode I could have been in that disabled the sandbox? I thought perhaps it could be due to being online or not, but that wasn't it.

Just an update on this. I think I found the state I was in to be able to see local disks - I just re-discovered it. I start a 'New' project then load/FIND an existing project -- at this point I can 'FIND -> any file' and have my local disks show up. Whew, I'm not crazy after all.

If you load/find a project from the local disc, the sandbox stays off. It's only when you load a project from the net, it's turned on. Apologies, should have stated that more clearly.
