¿Tenemos las herramientas apropiadas para hacer esto en Sugar?
No tengo idea.
Estamos tratando de ayudar a los niños, maestros y otros.
Mientras el resultado final sea un video que cualquiera pueda ver en YouTube, para ayudar a usar un programa gratis y libre como Etoys, imagino que las herramientas usadas para preparar el video no tienen importancia alguna.
Alexandro, por favor evita palabras discriminatorias como las que usaste recientemente, claramente con intención de insultar, tales como estúpido, bárbaro, viejo y judío.
Ya hice una versión mejorada del video, usando una posibilidad que aún no había probado. Graba la zona cerca del cursor en vez de la ventana completa.
Tiene algún problema durante los primeros 15 segundos, que apareció al subirlo a YouTube, no tengo tiempo de arreglarlo ahora:

Comencé a aprender lo básico de Etoys, solamente porque funciona perfectamente sin Sugar y sin la XO que no tengo.
Luego descubrí lo poderoso que es Etoys, lo sub-utilizado que está, y la poca gente en el mundo que aprecia su potencial.
Estoy por ver aún el primer mensaje claro diciendo a los maestros que no necesitan enseñar códigos aburridos ni dirigir sus lecciones exclusivamente a los niños más inteligentes, para ayudarles a aprender los conceptos más básicos de programación y de lógica que aprovecharán durante el resto de sus vidas, sin importar en qué terminen trabajando.
My opinión, EXCLUSIVAMENTE PERSONAL, es que Sugar es un ejemplo excelente de lo que Lawrence Leissig menciona en su libro como Software Feudal:

El software libre es uno de los conceptos más grandiosos de este mundo.
Sin embargo, es un concepto que puede abusarse.
Sugar cumplió una función importantísima en ayudar al Plan Ceibal a llegar al éxito que alcanzó, evitando el costo prohibitivo de comprar software privado.
Pero ahora, se volvió un factor limitante.
Al decidir qué información puede alcanzarse con Sugar, la información que llega a los niños ha sido, sin intención, filtrada.
El filtro no lo controlan ni los familiares, ni los maestros ni otros educadores, simplemente lo controla Sugar.
Soy optimista.
Tengo el claro presentimiento de que este problema está llegando a su final. Respeto mucho a algunos grupos influyentes como los directivos del Plan Ceibal.
Si leen el Portal Ceibal y asisten a los eventos públicos que ellos organizan, notarán que están introduciendo computadoras que no están basadas exclusivamente en Sugar.
Están invitando personalidades de nivel internacional reconocido que promueven ideas que no son rehenes de Sugar.
La computadora en el agujero de la pared, de Sugata Mitra, no parece usar Sugar. Era una computadora cualquiera, conectada a internet. Esta característica básica parece haberse continuado sin cambios en sus nuevas ideas.
Khan Academy, el original, no conozco las versiones sugarizadas, traducidas o explicadas por expertos, me refiero simplemente a lo que se ofrece a los que visitan el sitio, funciona también con cualquier computadora conectada a internet.
¿Debemos poner a funcionar el agregado de vínculos para incluir estos videos en la vitrina?
De acuerdo con cualquier cosa que hagas para promover información que creas útil.
No hay nada mejor, para aquellos interesados en ayudar a maestros y niños, que trabajar como voluntario, ayudando a resolver problemas específicos.
Es una forma excelente de mantenerse en la ruta correcta hacia nuestros objetivos: Identificar problemas y luego tratar de ofrecer las mejores soluciones que podamos.
Durante el Tour Conozco Uruguay, que tuvo lugar justo antes de EduJam, observamos durante un par de horas un desfile continuo e interminable de niños y sus familiares, que venían a pedir ayuda a un lugar donde hay voluntarios que los ayudan con los problemas específicos que tengan, todas las semanas, en días y horas que se publican ampliamente.
Tal vez deseen explicar ellos mismos, estos voluntarios que tanto trabajan, qué problemas encuentran y frecuentemente resuelven en el acto.
Notamos que estos voluntarios siguen algunas reglas de oro que con gusto recomiendo:
- Si el problema no tiene solución que ellos conozcan, responden eso claramente.
- Si la solución requiere a alguien con autorizaciones que ellos no tienen, claramente explican eso y dirigen al usuario a donde puedan ayudarle.
- Nunca recomiendan una solución que no hayan probado antes cuidadosamente ellos mismos.
- No tienen vergüenza de tomarse el tiempo necesario para pensar y seguir cuidadosa y sistemáticamente los procedimientos correctos.
No importa lo buenos que sean los cursillos o talleres que podamos ofrecer, el hecho es que buena parte del tiempo disponible, particularmente el tiempo precioso durante el cual se cuenta con la supervisión de un maestro profesional, se pierde resolviendo problemas de computadora / programas.

I have no idea.
We are trying to help children, teachers and others.
As long as the end result is a video anyone can see in YouTube, helping users of a free / free program like Etoys, I imagine the tools used to make the video are irrelevant.
Alexandro, please avoid discriminatory words you recently used, clearly intended as insults, such as stupid, barbarian, old person and jew.
I already made an improved version of the video using a feature I had not tried yet. It records the area near the cursor instead of the whole window.

I started learning the basics of Etoys, only because it works perfectly without Sugar and without a XO which I don´t have.
Then I discovered how powerful Etoys is, how underutilized it is and how few people in the world appreciate its potential.
I still have to seen the first clear message telling teachers they do not need to teach boring codes or to address their lessons to the most intelligent children only, to help them learn the very basic programming and logics concepts they will all profit from for the rest of their lives, no matter in what field of work they end up.
My PERSONAL-ONLY opinion is that Sugar is an excellent example of what Lawrence Leissig mentions in his book as Feudal Software:

However, it is a concept that may be abused.
Sugar did a great job helping Plan Ceibal reach the success it did, avoiding the prohibitive cost of purchasing private software.
But now it became a limiting factor.
By deciding what information may be reached through Sugar, the information that reaches children is unintentionally filtered.
The filter is not controlled by relatives, teachers or other educators, just by Sugar.
I am optimistic.
I have the clear feeling this problem is coming to an end. I have high respect for some influential groups like the top management of Plan Ceibal.
If you read Plan Ceibal´s Portal and you attend the public events they organize, you will notice they are introducing computers that are not based on Sugar exclusively.
They are inviting personalities of internationally recognized level, who promote ideas that are not Sugar hostages.
Sugata Mitra´s computer in the hole in the wall didn´t seem to have Sugar, it was just a non-descript computer connected to internet. That basic feature seems to have remained unchanged in all his newer ideas.
Khan Academy, the original, not sugarized or translated, not explained by any experts, just what users find when visiting their site, also works with any computer connected to internet.
Should we enable adding links to embed these clips in the show case ?
Whatever you do to promote the distribution of information you believe is useful, I am for it.
For those interested in helping teachers and children, there is nothing better than volunteering to help on specific problems.
It is an excellent way of staying on course, identifying the problems first and then trying to offer the best solutions we can.
During the Conozco Uruguay Tour, that took place in Uruguay just before EduJam, we watched for a couple of hours an endless parade of kids and their relatives coming for help to a place where volunteers help them with the specific problems they are experiencing, every week, on days and hours that are widely publicized.
Maybe they would like to explain themselves, these hardworking volunteers, the kind of problems they find and most frequently resolve on the spot.
We noticed these volunteers follow some golden rules I am glad to recommend:
- If the problem has no solution known to them, they clearly say so.
- If the solution is only available through someone with authorizations they do not have, they clearly say so and direct the user to the proper party.
- They never recommend a solution they have not thoroughly tested themselves.
- They are not ashamed of taking time to think and to carefully and systematically follow the proper procedures.
No matter how good Etoys tutorials or workshops we offer, the fact is most of the time available, particularly the time at school with the expert supervision of a professional teacher, is wasted with computer / software problems.

gracias por tu comentario alentador.
Trataré de mejorar el video, este fue mi primer intento, creo puedo hacer algo mejor.
Durante mucho tiempo insistí en contar a todos sobre la vitrina de Squeakland, donde cualquiera puede encontrar proyectos hechos por otros, abrir los guiones y ver cómo fueron hechos.
Pero luego, hablando con usuarios en el terreno, encontré que pedir a usuarios potenciales que hagan todo eso, es demasiado y muy complicado.
Por eso pensé que el video con los guiones abiertos, accesible con un clic en el enlace a YouTube, podría ser una manera mejor de promover el uso de Etoys.
Pensé que comenzar por mostrar el premio, mostrar lo que puede lograrse, podría dar a los usuarios potenciales el entusiasmo necesario para tomar los pequeños pasos para crear proyectos con Etoys.
Dejé dos guiones simples, sin agregar botones ni los lujos que traté de agregar en el pasado. No dejan ver con claridad la simplicidad de este medio de expresión.
El mensaje es:
Es muy fácil crear guiones sencillos para describir ideas complejas como la rueda cuadrada sobre el camino ondulado.
Imaginemos por un momento explicar esto mismo con palabras.
Favor notar que el proyecto no usa variables ni fórmulas ni nada que alguien pudiese considerar temas avanzados.

thanks for your encouraging comment.
Will try to improve the movie, this was my first try, believe I can do better.
I have been insisting for a long time in telling everyone about the Squeakland showcase where anyone may find projects done by others, open the scripts and find out how were they done.
But then, by talking to users in the field, I found asking for potential users to do all that might be too much and too complicated.
This is why we thought a movie with the open scripts, accessible by one click on the YouTube link, might be a better way to promote the use of Etoys.
I thought showing the reward first, showing what can be achieved, might give prospective users the enthusiasm needed to take the short and easy steps to create Etoys projects.
I left the two plain scripts without adding buttons or any of the luxuries I tried to add in the past. They cloud the simplicity of this means of expression.
The message is:
Creating a script to describe a complex idea like the square wheel on the undulated road, is very simple and easy.
Imagine for a moment explaining the same idea with words.
Please note, the project doesn´t use variables or formulas or anything that someone might consider to be advanced subjects.

The YouTube videos, for which we offer links, provide the connection to the real world. I heard some of the greatest teachers insist about its importance of establishing this relationship.

A few days ago we read about square-wheeled vehicles.
They offer smooth rides, without tilting.
We used Etoys to understand and explain how this square wheels work.
The secret is to roll them on undulated roads.
This Etoys project shows how to build a road with the adequate undulation, by adding material, shown in purple, on the flat origianl surface of the road:

The video also shows all the scripts required to make the square wheel roll over the road while the vehicle´s body, represented by the green line, stays horizontal and always at the same height.
