You should be able to grab any USB game controller and plug into your Mac or Windows machine. Then get a Joystick object from the Supplies flap and choose "track real joystick" from its halo menu. You will only be able to read out the X and Y axis and the first two buttons.

Can anyone point me to a source for these? I would like to use them in my 6th grade class, where my students are writing games in Squeak.
