I need a portuguese version of the squeakland. Where can I get it? Thanks Monica

Hi Monica,
I'm translating Squeak to (Brazilian) Portuguese. I'm a bit late on this, but I expect to have it done by the beginning of next month. Please note that this first batch will be deeply revised before publication, so I guess you may have to wait a little bit more.
Paulo

Great! I promised to try to find some time to do this early last year (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/st-br/message/35) but I wasn't able to. Note that I was talking about a full translation using Diego's Babel software, not just adding a Vocabulary for eToys. I suspect the latter would take from four to five hours to do. And it might be easier to integrate into the current SqueakLand version (I don't know if it includes Babel), which is what Monica wants.

Hi Jecel,
Thanks for your post.
What I'm talking about is a full translation of Squeak, not just the Etoys vocabulary. So one could expect a fully translated Squeak plugin for the next few months. Please take it's a 2500+ phrases/words list, being done in my spare time, then I guess 4-5 hours is a very, very optimistic approach...
Also, I believe that in a very contextualized environment like a programming language/ environment or an authoring tool, or both (which is the case), you have to be very careful in translating. On top of that, WE know Portuguese is a very complicated language, and the sintax is definitively NOT like English.
True, the plugin/Squeakland version does not include a Language Editor. IMHO, there is no need for it (in the plugin), anyway.
What I will need for sure is the collaboration of Squeak *power users* like you, to help me with some jargons. I'll keep you posted on that.
thanks again, Paulo

The current Squeakland has it.
Paulo, at one point, send me the .translation file you have now (or even the image), so that I can integrate it into an image that is more easier to work on than what you have.
