Kathleen,
Thank you all for preparing the guides.
Ted
Thank you for bringing them to us all together in this impressive lists.
When we had Squeakfest in Brazil last year, I heard many teachers from Uruguay talking about "Illinois".
The work of Kathleen and her colleagues frequently was the first point of contact between Etoys and the teachers.
The presentation is exactly what we should always be preaching:
Made with Etoys in a format completely compatible with the XOs.
Kathleen,
I know some of this material has already been translated to Spanish.
What is the status?
I had promised to translate the Etoys Manual as soon as it is ready.
But maybe I should start translating whatever is not in Spanish yet from your guides.
Interesting, how different we all are.
As a senior citizen with engineering background, the idea of a formal manual was very much appealing to me.
But, as we were recently discussing with some of you, our main target should be teachers, they are the ones with the most power to take full advantage of our efforts.
It seems Kathleen´s guides are probably more appealing than formal manuals to the teachers using Etoys.
Please let me know where to point my efforts.

Just to give you and everyone an update of the status of the manual: We hope to finish it in September. We plan to have another book sprint week then and I hope we get it done! I'll send out a message when we picked a week. We will probably do this today in our education team meeting (12:30 pm EDT), which everyone can join. We are using Skype for our meetings, so please email me your Skype name before. If you cannot join us, but are interested, here are the meeting notes, just scroll down:
