Hi,
I am a new comer to squakland. I am trying to run Squeak in
"Linux gnoppix 2.6.7 #2 Mon Oct 18 00:31:18 CEST 2004 i686 GNU/Linux"
when i give the command squeak most often it doesnt srat. It exits with the message 'Out of memory'. Machine had 256 MB ram 256 MB swap.
I tried to recompile the VM from source that also didnt work well, I am able to run same application on Debian woody.
Thanks for any help, Anand.

Hi --
The Squeakland list is for teachers and parents and children who are learning to use Etoys. I think that you might want to go to http://www.squeak.org to ask these technical questions about running Squeak on a version of Linux.
Cheers,
Alan

Is this Ubuntu or Gnoppix? Anyway, which VM are you using?
What happens when you try
squeak -mmap 100
