Pen Trails and Sensors

I'm a new Squeak user and I'm not trying to tackle anything too difficult at the moment, or at least I didn't think so initially. I'm working on creating an object (a snake) that will travel along the edge of a rectangle while leaving a trail. As the snake works around the rectangle and comes back to its starting point, the snake will view the existing trail as the new wall - making smaller and smaller rectangles, until the snake has covered the surface area of the rectangle. Ideally, I'd like to be able to move the snake object into any shape and it will cover the surface area in the same manner as the above mentioned rectangle. I've been using penDown to create a pen trail behind the snake, but my major problem is that the sensor on my object is unable to view the pen trail. I've searched around quite a bit and I've seen mention of transparent playfields, adjusting the display depth, and a method that refreshes the playfield - but Squeak documentation seems to be somewhat scattered. I've been playing with Squeak for a while now, and I'm slowly getting the hang of everything - but it's taken quite a while. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can make the pen trails visible to my sensor? Or any other suggestions for the project and my journey through Squeak? Thanks! Jeff

Small Land: Smalltalk y Educación (in Spanish)

Hola, Como muchos de nosotros estamos interesados en el uso de Smalltalk y ambientes de objetos para temas educativos hemos decido crear un grupo de trabajo en ese área. La idea es formar un grupo multidisciplinario con profesionales de informática y profesionales de la educación y encarar algunos proyectos en conjunto donde cada uno pueda hacer aportes desde su óptica/conocimiento. Uno de los primeros proyectos que vamos a evaluar de hacer es la traducción del Squeak al Español. Comenzando por los eToys (la traducción actual esta un poco incompleta) y siguiendo por el resto de las herramientas de publicación y desarrollo. Otro de los posibles proyectos es la producción de tutoriales para profesores/maestros, por ejemplo el Squeak es una muy buena herramienta para reemplazar al PowerPoint o herramientas similares pero no esta muy documentado como se lo puede usar. Mozilla Plugin for Linux

Hi, I tried downloading the mozilla plugin from the link on the squeakland download page but it did not work. What I eventually had to do was download a 3.2.5 VM which includes the plugin, then manually copy around a bunch of files like the .image file to the place the plugin was looking for it. According to the UNIS download page, the plugin should be included with all versions newer than 3.2, but I could not find it in 3.4 or 3.5. Does anyone have any advice?
