how to reset Etoys project version number

Hi, I am use to developing with VA Smalltalk where one can save their work many times before setting a version number. Being in this habit, I now have a project with a very high version number that have little or no meaning to me. Is there a way to reset it to a version number of my choosing? I expect the number is kept somewhere in the project and that I could change it if I could break out of Etoys jail and run a little Smalltalk in a workspace. Thanks, Lou P.S. Example of using Etoys as a "playthink" for teaching and learning

Folks, I created a set of Pattern Blocks using the Polygon object and a set of transformation tools. Here is another video example of how you can use Etoys in the classroom. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzLLQ6am_Rg A copy of the project can be found on Squeakland here<http://www.squeakland.org/showcase/project.jsp?id=10216>, I also created a Blog Post<http://mrstevesscience.blogspot.com/2010/08/fun-with-pattern-blocks-and.html> with some more details on the scripting used, but the simplest is to look for yourself. Get the viewers from the transformation tiles and look at the "doIt" scripts for each object. I'll put up a post/screencast later on the player variable, which took me way to long to find and is very useful. Feedback and suggestions for uses and improvements always welcome. Stephen

double-click on .pr file in windows 7

Hi All, I just installed the latest 4.1 version of Etoys on my Windows 7 system. Prior to this I had version 4.0. With V4 I could double click on a .pr file and Etoys would start and load the project. Now with V4.1, double clicking on a .pr file starts Etoys but a window is opened that prompts for a squeak image before loading the project. I don't care to run more than one version of Etoys (at least not for now). Is there some windows registry entry or ini file setting I can change to point to the etoys image so, I don't have to keep selecting it? problem with location of Etoys players

Hi, I'm working on an Etoys project I call Pizza Pi. The idea is to calculate the value of Pi by randomly shooting blobs of tomato sauce at a pizza. The pizza is in a box. The radius if the pizza is one foot (or one anything) and just fits in the box. Given these simple dimensions, Pi can be calculated by the formula Pi = (blobsThatHitPizza * 4) / (blobsThatHitPizza + blobsThatMissPizza). The blobs that miss the pizza are confined to the box. I am doing this with blobs of sauce that shoot toward the pizza box and then jump to a random spot in the box. The problem is that when I try to calculate this random spot the position of the box or the blob is not what I expect. If I grab a blob and move it to the bottom of the playfield its y position is -85? I have origin-at-center turned off in the playfield options, so I would expect the bottom edge of the playfield to be zero not -85. I must be missing something, so can someone please clear this up for me. Thanks. How can I refer to the Players in a Simple Watcher?

Folks, I created a set of tools that allow you to perform operations on multiple players at once. This can be very useful to lock/unlock a set of items or play around with color changes, etc. I did this by creating four variables of type "Player" and then performing the operation on each variable (see screenshot below). Questions: 1. How can I dynamically add Player variables to the Holder (ie: I may want more than 4) 2. How can I refer to the players in the "simple watchers" in scripts so I can iterate through the holder instead of having one tile per player? 3. How can I tell when the last "simple watcher" in the Holder is the "dot" object (or actually when its not) so I can dynamically add an extra Player reference when needed (answering question 2 may solve this).
